Update 2: Starting Over, Semi-From Scratch

Guess who's back, but from the ground? Reeeeeeeeeeeeeal funny tai

Connections started as what people described as a  "low quality no effort rpg maker game". Ever since that I've been looking for a game engine I can use. I was like "Unity, Construct 2 or Love2D???". Then a friend of my said I'm gonna be porting my game to an engine called Godot. So I was like, "Okay, gotta do research on this Godot thing-y!!!" I looked around on Starmen.Net and saw a game called Kingdoms of the Dump or something like that. Then I looked at it's shader capabilities and saw that it's 100% possible to recreate the EarthBound-styled battle backs. So I wrote a shader and tried it out on this:

So now your like "U TROLL Y U DO DIS". Well, with the shader code, it became this:

Then after writing this I was determined about making Connections' engine in Godot. After about 2 days of work I got a functional Title Screen and Naming Sequence. So, the morale of the story is funny enough: There are no boundaries unless you set them.

Enjoy the little GIF of me testing the naming screen!
